I am new to this site, but I must say it is ingenious. I am 54 and used to pen-paling the old snail mail way, then people move and new technology takes over. I always have felt that with advancement we lose the human nature part of life. So I am looking forward to meeting different people in different places. My name is Elisa, I'm 23 years old and I am from Italy.

I came to America last January to be an Au Pair, and since then I've moved from Virginia to Nebraska. I am having a great time with my host family, and so far I've met people that I know are going to be part of my life forever. Once I'm back in Italy I am going to start university and study foreing languages and literature. Hopefully I'll be able to keep on studing English, start French all over again and learn German.

I am an introvert human being who loves to read lots of books (at the lake if the weather is good). I bought myself a kindle at the beginning of last year where I've been reading the Harry Potter saga all over again, and in the meantime bought another copy of Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen (currently I own five copies of the book because I am obsessed with it) and other books that I'm happily bringing back home when July comes. I love the smell of the books, by the way. 

From time to time, when I need to put down on paper my feelings - or a story that just wants to come out of my brain - I write on my journal. I also write lyrics of songs I'm really into at the moment, or quotes that I simply love and find true and meaningful.
